Shall we?

Spooky Sangria

๐Ÿน Type: Alcoholic Beverage

โฑ๏ธ Prep Time: 5-10 minutes

๐ŸŒฑ Is it suitable for Vegans? Yes

โฐ How long does it keep? 48 Hours

๐ŸงŠ Freezer-friendly? No

โš–๏ธ Ingredients:

  • Half a Bottle of Red Wine

  • A Shot of Cointreau

  • Lemonade

  • Granulated Sugar

  • Red Food Colouring

  • Apples

  • Oranges

  • Pears

  • Strawberries

  • Blueberries

  • Cucumber

๐Ÿ“ Instructions:

  1. Slice Oranges, Pears, Apples and Strawberries and place into a jug/pitcher/large container.

  2. Pour Granulated Sugar into a bowl and add half a bottle of Red Wine (at your discretion). Once added, stir to combine.

  3. Pour a smaller amount of Granulated Sugar into another bowl and add a generous dash of Red Food Colouring, followed by a dash of Still Water, then stir to combine.

  4. Empty the Red Sugar onto a plate or suitable flat surface. Take a glass and turn it upside down, placing it into the sugar and rotating until the rim of the glass is coated.

  5. Pour your sugary Red Wine into the jug/pitcher/large container along with the fruit.

  6. Add a shot of Cointreau.

  7. Add Lemonade.

  8. Top up the jug/pitcher/large container with Ice.

  9. Add any leftover fruit to a cocktail stick or stirrer.

  10. Pour your finished Sangria into the sugar-rimmed glass and complete with your fruit skewer garnish.

  11. Enjoy!

  12. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator, covering the container with cling film. Your Sangria can be stored for 48-hours, but is most delicious when fresh.

๐Ÿ“‹ Notes:

  • We advise you to use a fruity and full-bodied, dry Red Wine (preferably Spanish).

  • As an alternative to mixing Granulated Sugar with the wine, you could use Brown Sugar instead.
